Reflection: We started this session with a makeup colour analysis, which meant I knew exactly which colours would make her look great. In hindsight, that clarity also pulled me away from the original intention of this project.

It allowed me to show up strongly as a colour analyst, but as a makeup artist, I realised I was still operating within the “safe box” created by colour analysis.

This was my realisation in real time: how technical accuracy, while powerful, can quietly limit creative exploration.
